Nature and Scope of Work

To instruct within the School of Business\xe2\x80\x99 Business Administration Certificate program being offered in community for Squamish Nation. The instructor will be expected to teach Introduction to Marketing. Faculty are expected to participate fully in all department/hub meetings, committee and administrative work. The School of Business offers courses in each term (Fall, Spring and Summer), and each course requires competencies that are unique to the discipline.

In alignment with a Special Program approved by the BC Office of the Human Rights Commissioner, this position\xe2\x80\x99s duties are focused on supporting Indigenous students and as such, applicants who self-identify as Indigenous, having Indigenous ancestry and/or lived experience may be given preference in the recruitment process.


Required Qualifications & Experience

Required

• A Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or higher in any field; and
• Either
  • Relevant training equivalent to 15 semester credit hours of academic, continuing education, vendor training, etc. in relation to the learning outcomes of the course or course grouping at the graduate level or equivalent;
    OR
  • Three years previous post\xe2\x80\x90secondary teaching experience including curriculum development and assessment and experience with instructional delivery employing virtual platforms.
    OR
  • Three years industry experience in marketing.
  
  

Assets

• Ph.D. or earned Doctorate
• Provincial Instructor Diploma Program (PDIP), Certification in University Teaching, Credential/Experience in online teaching or equivalent.
• Experience/Knowledge of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion principles in an educational environment.
