We are seeking a competent and dedicated
Early Childhood Educator, Instructor
to join our team at our
North York
location.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Mentor, coach and support students through a commitment of educational excellence and passion of early childhood education
Responsible for creating an effective and positive adult learning environment
Teach the curriculum as outlined by the college of ECE and in adherence with the entry to practice requirements.

Share industry-related knowledge, expertise, and passion with the students
Respond to student inquiries and provide feedback to students in a respectful and timely manner
Record student attendance and grades
Develop and maintain a supportive learning community
Provide guidance and support to adult learners
Deliver course content using Brightspace/D2L Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Deliver instruction that meets program objectives as set out in the curriculum
Evaluate student performance fairly, promptly and consistently
Collaborate with other teams (Student Services Team, Academic Department, etc.) to contribute positively to the student experience
Support the administrative functions of the campus to enhance the student experience
Act in a manner that upholds the professional expectations and standards of Anderson College of Health, Business and Technology
Required Qualifications:
A relevant combination of education and experience normally acquired through a degree in an Early Childhood Education/Child Studies discipline (RECE) with 5 years of recent, relevant and progressive industry experience
Previous post-secondary teaching experience will be considered an asset.
Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
Advanced computer literacy and a demonstrated willingness to acquire and use learning tools (such as Anderson College D2L learning system) commensurate with departmental requirements
Demonstrate effective interpersonal and problem-solving, conflict and stress management skills
Excellent grounding in best practice and emerging knowledge, skills and attitudes in the field
Current CPR and First Aid
An ability to apply an understanding of diversity and inclusiveness to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
