We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) Instructor to join our team.
As an ECA instructor, you will deliver our comprehensive 40-week diploma program, designed to provide students with the essential skills and knowledge to support the healthy development of young children. This program offers comprehensive training in child development, curriculum planning, and effective communication with children and families.
Duties
Develop and deliver engaging and interactive instructional sessions to students.
Create lesson plans and curriculum materials that align with learning objectives.
Responsible for the active and ethical delivery of the curriculum to students.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and techniques to accommodate different learning styles.
Modify curriculum expectations to meet the students needs.
Find placements for students.
Monitor and assess student progress on assignments, presentations, tests etc. and provide feedback on performance.
Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in the field.
Participate in staff meetings when required.
Qualifications
Prior classroom and teaching experience is highly desirable.
Must have a minimum of one (1) year current, relevant work experience as an Early Childhood Educator in a Canadian clinical environment.
Must have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE).
Must hold a current membership in the provincial association for Early Childhood Educators.
Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Must have a flexible schedule and be able to teach a combination of mornings, evenings and weekends. More information about schedule will be released in advance with enrollment.
Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and caregiving techniques.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students and team members.
Patience, compassion, and the ability to create an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds.
Ability to follow instructions carefully while demonstrating flexibility in a dynamic setting.

Required
Education
- Bachelor's Degree.
License
- Member with College of Early Childhood Educators. Holds a current membership for ECE registration in Canada/Ontario.
Experience
- Teaching experience for ECA curriculum.
Preferred
Two (2) years of adult teaching experience.
Familiar with the NACC - ECA curriculum.
Ontario Certified Teacher Certification.
Schedule
Monday to Friday.
5 Hours.
Morning batch - 9:00am to 2:00pm.
Evening batch - 4:00pm to 9:00pm.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 per week
