Under the direction of the Manager, Employment Support Programs, the Instructor Coordinator is responsible for implementing and maintaining training support programs which are designed to enhance and develop vocational skills and employment opportunities for adults with disabilities.



This position carries out program planning (e.g., managing request referrals, ordering materials, retaining qualified instructions, preparing lesson plans that are suitable for adults with disabilities, setting up work placements) and program oversight (e.g., delivering orientation and training, overseeing staff and instructors, providing job coaching, ensuring completion of evaluation activities). Maintaining relationships with partner organizations. local employers and service providers is key to the success of the employment program. The position also performs administrative tasks such as accounts payable, timesheets and reporting.

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria (to be considered for the position, please ensure your resume clearly shows the organization(s) in which you acquired the qualification with start and end dates).


Post-secondary education in Education, Adult Learning, exceptionality worker/special education, Social Work or a related field.

Significant experience delivering and coordinating training events, preferably for the vulnerable sector;

Significant experience working with persons with disabilities and the vulnerable sector;

Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships;

Ability to use Microsoft Office.

TB Clearance


Yukon Class 5 Driver's Licence is considered an asset.
