What you\'ll do

The In-Store Marketing Specialist, Industrial is a key member of the In-Store Marketing and larger In-Store Experience teams. The In-Store Experience team is responsible for creating a holistic, customer-centric experience inside of Mark\xe2\x80\x99s and L\xe2\x80\x99Equipeur stores, ensuring that the product is Easy to Find, Easy to Try and Easy to Buy.

This role will work collaboratively with the Industrial National Visual Merchandiser to craft the experience for the customer from their initial impression when entering a store, through to their final purchase decision. This role will encompass Industrial Apparel, Industrial Footwear and Men\xe2\x80\x99s Accessories. Additional collaboration will be needed with the necessary Purchasing and Marketing groups to ensure alignment with the business\xe2\x80\x99s brand vision.

This role is responsible for various aspects of in-store signage including, but not limited to: material sourcing and testing, printing, distribution, communication and supporting execution in stores. In addition, this role continually researches best practices and trends for signage in the retail industry to assess relevance and applicability to Mark\xe2\x80\x99s stores and corporate strategy.

The Marketing Specialist will collaborate with the Marketing, Purchasing and Merchandising teams as well as represent Mark\xe2\x80\x99s to external parties in graphic design and printing. This role serves as the expert and provides feedback on in-store signage related matters to the Manager, In-Store Marketing.

Large Format Signage \xe2\x80\x93 Bring to life the strategy and vision of the In-Store Experience team through signage in stores. Partner with Marketing and National Brands to ensure brands are appropriately represented in-store and provide a cohesive message between the external marketing and internal store presentation. Projects include Seasonal Core, Hero Moments and National Brand support, as well as tactical initiatives including Black Friday, Clearance and Storewide Sales.

Weekly Promotional Planning \xe2\x80\x93 Coordinate the creation, translation, proofing and approvals of signage for flyers and in-store off-pricing. Work with Purchasing, Marketing, Compliance and the Merchandising teams to ensure the messaging is clear for the customer, and execution is clear for the store. Be able to accurately speak to all current promotions to provide clarification or confirmation to our business partners.

Promotional Activations \xe2\x80\x93 Manage the ongoing two-way communication of all in-store promotional activity, working closely with all business partners to ensure our offers are clear for staff and customers. Work with the field team to gather customer feedback to bring back to the business to help guide our promotional messaging.

Workbook \xe2\x80\x93 Oversee the Workbook process, creating workbacks and communicating them to the necessary contributors. Compile the information provided into the document and ensure all key stakeholders are reviewing and approving. Coordinate the translation of the document, and post both French and English versions to the portal on time.

Store Opening and Closing \xe2\x80\x93 Work with Marketing, In-Store Presentation and Construction teams to ensure stores have all signage needs fulfilled for opening, including core signage needs, Grand Opening signage support and site-specific needs that are on brand and appropriate for the demographic of the location.

Printing / Store Data \xe2\x80\x93 Working with the field RVM team and print vendors to ensure that all database information is current to accurately distribute signage to stores. Work collaboratively with Marketing and print vendors on best practices and efficient processes to transition print files through to final printed components sent to stores, adhering to in-store deadlines.

Signage Ordering \xe2\x80\x93 Manage the ordering websites through a collaborative partnership with our print vendors to ensure the sites are meeting the needs of our business and ultimately our store network.

Footwear PK Books \xe2\x80\x93 Project management and proofing of the seasonal Footwear PK Books, ensuring they are in line with current specifications and on time to stores. Collaborate with the Footwear teams to gather all necessary information and regularly evaluate the requirements of the business, both from a customer and corporate perspective.

Communication Packages \xe2\x80\x93 Create and contribute to necessary store documents such as Visual Guide, Activation Guides, POP Cleanup and Monthly Signage Guide documents to assist stores with keeping an accurate, up to date library of signage in stores. Ensure signage related information is provided to stores accurately and on time through appropriate channels.

Reporting & Analytics - Explore printing options for signage to ensure we are maximizing efficiencies and staying within the annual budget. Use available analytics and customer insights from Medallia to make decisions in the best interest of our customers.

In-Store \xe2\x80\x93 As a member of the In-Store team, assist with and monitor store execution of signage setups and campaigns. Create best practices both in stores and within the role to be mutual benefit of the In-Store Experience and store teams.

Continuous Improvement \xe2\x80\x93 Perform competitive shops to gain and learn new aspects of signage being used in other retailers that are Mark\xe2\x80\x99s appropriate and could be implemented in our business. Creative thinking to develop new initiatives for signage that supports the Operations overall corporate strategy. Look for opportunities to partner with other teams to simplify processes and find efficiencies within the corporate team and ultimately our store network.

Experience within an advertising agency or a print production plant considered an asset

Related education (business, marketing, retail management, visual merchandising, communications) or field experience in retail Operations or Marketing

Experience in evaluating, designing, and implementing tools and processes for a retail operations environment
