About the Position:
This is a full-time support staff Bargaining Unit position reporting to the Associate Director, Institutional Intelligence & Deputy Registrar, working 35 hours per week at an hourly rate of $43.61
The Institutional Research Data Analyst & Web Developer supports Lambton College's evidence based planning by developing high quality data products and performing analytical work that informs enrolment management, program quality, and strategic decision making. The role also provides secondary support for web based tools and digital services that enable effective access to institutional data.
This role is expected to work on campus at the Sarnia location.
Specific Accountabilities:
Institutional Research & Data Analysis

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical models that translate institutional data into actionable insights.
  • Work with stakeholders to define data needs, validate results, and ensure accurate interpretation.
  • Support Ministry and cyclical reporting (Enrolment audits, CSER, Graduate files, SMA metrics, Program Scorecards, institutional surveys).
  • Apply data governance, privacy, and documentation standards to ensure data integrity.
Data Management & Visualization
  • Perform data querying, transformation, and integration across multiple systems.
  • Use statistical and machine learning techniques to support advanced analysis.
  • Create meaningful visual narratives through tools such as Power BI.
Web Development
  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of accessible, user friendly internal web tools that enhance data access and stakeholder engagement.
  • Implement small scale web features, API integrations, and content updates supporting institutional research workflows.
Qualifications:
  • 3 year diploma/degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Computer Programming
  • Minimum 3 years experience in data analytics and modelling in the development of products (Reports, Dashboards, Models, etc)
  • Minimum 3 years experience in website or web service development
  • Minimum 3 years SQL and Visual Studio required
  • Experience with Python preferred
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and data storytelling skills
  • Experience with Power BI, Microsoft tools, and ERP systems (e.g., Colleague)
  • Ability to use generative AI to enhance analysis
  • Excellent communication and high degree of autonomy
  • Commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and ethical data practices
  • Project coordination experience and understanding of College level KPI frameworks
