Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in physical installation and cabling. This role requires some construction/trade experience, with a focus on low voltage applications.

The Installation Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all cabling installations are completed accurately and efficiently, while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.

Duties

Read and interpret schematics, and technical drawings to understand installation requirements. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation tasks. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and perform necessary alterations to the blueprint. Provide exceptional customer service during installations by communicating clearly with clients regarding system functionalities. Maintain accurate records of installations and service calls for future reference.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction or a related field is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various hand tools and power tools. Prior experience in low voltage installations is highly desirable. Knowledge of CCTV systems, card access and telecommunication technologies is a plus. Ability to read plans and schematics effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a physical, dynamic environment (on ladders, changing locations often). Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
