AccessSMT is a leading supplier specializing in Construction Divisions 8, 28 and 10 which include Architectural Hardware, Access Control and Building Security Systems, Hollow Metal Doors and Frames, Wood Doors and Frames, Specialty Doors, Construction Specialties, Lockers, Partitions, Washroom Accessories and Visual and Display Boards.

Catering primarily to commercial and industrial building projects and renovations, we are on the lookout for an experienced Installation Manager to join our Surrey branch who will focus on projects across the Lower mainland.

Summary



This role is directly responsible for overseeing, leading, and coordinating the installers and other construction trade contractors who own and operate their own business. This role supervises and coordinates the activities of installers and other related construction trade contractors directly related to the installation of Division 8 and Division 10 products at customer site, while supporting the team in resolving complex or critical problems that may arise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics. Tracking and documenting site visits, outcomes, site measurements, and job completion using company documents and procedures. Schedule and lead the installations team regarding work to be completed, customer requirements, safety procedures, and company expectations. Coordinate the timing of shipping and receiving installed product on site. Ensure the customer is aware of the shipment and the site can receive the material. Ensure our installers receive the material and inspect it for any freight damage. Manages team members including coaching, mentoring, managing performance, and training. Makes recommendations and decisions regarding installations using building code knowledge, product compatibility, and customer requirements. Identifies and implement safety conscious procedures and workflows. Troubleshoots product or installation issues, as needed, and provide a high level of customer service to resolve complex issues, while ensuring customer satisfaction Review the mandatory installation report submitted by the installer and action any deficiencies noted. Provides an exceptional level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Supervisory Responsibilities



This job requires a high degree of leadership and supervisory responsibilities where the incumbent is expected to provide direction and instruction to the team. Work is structured in such a way that the tasks to be completed are assumed by the incumbent and delegated to the team in an appropriate and timely manner. The incumbent is expected to work independently, collaborating with other departments as needed, and to take initiative for the improvement of company processes. The Installation Manager works closely with the install crews to ensure a high level of workmanship, professionalism, and timeliness.

Education and/or Experience



High School Diploma or equivalent 10+ years of Construction and/ or Installation Experience specifically division 10. Division 8 experience is an asset 5+ years Leadership Experience The position requires strong problem solving skills Computer software including Microsoft Office Safety Software. Site Docs experience is an advantage. First Aid Certification is an advantage

Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
