Job Description

The Position



The Financial Solutions group provides advice and counsel to individuals who are experiencing stress and distress due to overwhelming debt. As an Insolvency Advisor, you will perform initial consultations by telephone, understanding clients' particular needs and matching those to one of the federally-regulated debt restructuring options, such as a consumer proposal or bankruptcy. Working closely with a team of Insolvency professionals, you will work towards the best outcomes for both the clients and creditors.



Key Accountabilities:



Complete comprehensive interviews to properly assess the client's personal situation. Educate the clients on their options and recommend a debt restructuring option. Gather personal details, creditor information, including completing forms, drafting documents and inputting data in appropriate systems. Work closely with restructuring consultants and/or Licensed Insolvency Trustee's to prepare files and documents in order to complete client signing. Develop and manage pipeline of opportunities. Liaising with other teams to ensure goals are met, and client experience outcomes are achieved. Contribute to business development opportunities as presented. Support new employee training and development. Attending training, team meetings and firm events as required.

Education, Knowledge & Skills:



Typically between 2-3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study desirable or equivalent combination of experience and education. Preference for work experience in either banking, insolvency, credit counseling, finance or legal. Direct sales and customer service experience. Willingness to complete or have completed the BIA Administrator Insolvency Course
