What does an Inside Sales/Customer Service Person do?

The Inside Sales/Customer Service person will be responsible for assisting customers and responding to requests received via email, telephone, or in person. Additionally, this person will support Outside Sales Reps by assisting with quote preparation and product research.

Responsibilities:

• Responding to customer requests and inquiries via email, telephone, or in person.
• Assisting customers with placing orders and identifying products.
• Maintaining a basic knowledge of products offered by MWP in order to be able to recommend and discuss with customers.
• Assisting with customer order entry.
• Assisting Outside Sales reps with quote preparation and product research.

Qualifications:

• Able to communicate professionally, both verbally and in written form.
• Proactive and self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office.
• Familiar with QuickBooks or other POS system an asset.
• Able to lift 50lbs.
• Past customer service or inside sales experience
• Knowledge of welding or industrial supplies is an asset
