We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our automotive dealership team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting the correct parts and accessories, managing inventory, and providing exceptional service. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a solid understanding of automotive/equipment parts and repair processes. Experience with dealership operations, POS systems, and retail sales is highly preferred. The Parts Advisor plays a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction and supporting the overall sales and maintenance operations of the dealership.
Duties
Assist customers in identifying and selecting the appropriate equipment parts and accessories based on their needs or repair requirements
Manage inventory levels, order fulfillment, and stock organization to ensure availability of parts
Utilize POS systems for sales transactions and order processing with accuracy
Provide excellent customer service through clear communication, phone etiquette, and professional interaction
Collaborate with service technicians and sales teams to facilitate efficient parts ordering and delivery
Maintain accurate records of sales, returns, and inventory using inventory and accounting software.
Support marketing efforts by promoting parts specials or new product offerings when appropriate
Ensure proper maintenance of the parts department including cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance
Handle inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and effective communication skills
Assist in promotional activities or sales management initiatives to enhance dealership performance
Requirements
Proven experience in dealership parts departments or automotive retail sales preferred
Familiarity with POS systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Excel for inventory management and order processing
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order fulfillment and record keeping
Excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of automotive/equipment repair processes, parts identification, and maintenance procedures
Customer service-oriented mindset with effective phone etiquette and negotiation skills
Ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy
Basic math skills for calculating prices, discounts, or quantities needed
Dealership experience is highly desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed

Pay: $36,887.08-$73,517.09 per year
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
