Crabbe Mountain is seeking an experienced and motivated
Indoor Operations Manager
to lead and oversee all indoor departments at the resort. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality guest experiences across multiple areas of operation.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Indoor Operations Manager provides strategic oversight, operational planning, and leadership for the following departments:
Food & Beverage
Retail
Rentals & Repair
Marketing / Communications / Events
Sales
Custodial Services

Key Accountabilities
Operational Leadership
Work with General Manager to develop and implement pre-season operational plans and frameworks for all departments, ensuring goals, budgets, and staffing align with resort objectives.
Manage POS setup and processes across Food & Beverage, Rentals, and Retail departments.
Establish clear department standards and ensure expectations are consistently met across all internal and external communications.
Work collaboratively with department managers to monitor in-season progress and ensure plans remain on track.
Maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance, and operational efficiency throughout all departments.
Build and maintain partnerships with external vendors, representatives, and sponsors to support resort initiatives and meet departmental needs.
Oversee coordination of website management and online communications in collaboration with the Marketing team.
Departmental Oversight
Food & Beverage
Establish and support kitchen supervisor roles to ensure consistent leadership coverage.
Lead the coordination and execution of seasonal menu development and implementation
Identify and execute process improvements to enhance efficiency and guest experience.
Oversee hiring, training, and scheduling standards in collaboration with the Kitchen Manager.
Collaborate with vendors to optimize supply chains and identify partnership opportunities.
Retail
Coordinate staffing, training, and scheduling standards in collaboration with the Retail Manager.
Oversee inventory management and merchandising standards.
Maintain efficient sales processes, customer service excellence, and workplace safety standards.
Rentals & Repair
Analyze staffing and workflow needs, implementing improvements with department supervisors.
Develop and manage frameworks for hiring, training, and scheduling processes.
Implement inventory control procedures and maintain high equipment and service standards.
Marketing & Communications
Oversee the Marketing Coordinator and ensure all marketing, communications, and digital activities align with the resort's brand and strategic goals.
Support the creation and execution of seasonal marketing plans, campaigns, and content calendars.
Ensure timely and accurate communication of resort updates, conditions, and events across all media channels.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure consistent messaging and promotional alignment.
Maintain positive relationships with media partners, sponsors, and community stakeholders.
Sales
Collaborate with the Advertising Sales Coordinator to set, track, and achieve advertising sales targets.
Events
Oversee the Events Coordinator and ensure the successful execution of all resort events.
Manage event budgets, logistics, marketing, and onsite operations.
Ensure all events are effectively communicated and promoted in advance (minimum two weeks for small events; four weeks for major events).
Maintain an organized events calendar and manage off-site activations such as trade shows and community partnerships.
Custodial Services
Oversee custodial operations to maintain resort cleanliness, safety, and appearance standards.
Manage staffing, scheduling, and process optimization in collaboration with the Custodial Supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum
5 years of progressive leadership experience
in hospitality, recreation, or resort operations (ski resort experience preferred).
Proven experience managing multiple departments and supervising diverse teams.
Strong knowledge of operational processes in
Food & Beverage, Retail, Rentals, Marketing, and Events
Experience with POS systems, inventory control, and scheduling systems.
Familiarity with marketing, communications, and social media oversight at a managerial level.
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage staff, vendors, and guests effectively.
Post-secondary education in
Business, Hospitality, Recreation Management, or a related field
is an asset.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, seasonal environment with flexibility for weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.
Working Conditions
Full-time, year-round position
Extended hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays during ski season.
