Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including data entry and accurate record keeping
Maintain and update accounting software systems such as QuickBooks
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely
Perform account reconciliations for bank statements and general ledger accounts
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors and resolve them promptly
Assist with bank reconciliation procedures to ensure financial accuracy
Support budgeting processes by providing relevant financial data and analysis
Prepare financial reports and summaries as required for management review
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Assist with / running payroll for company employees
Issue ROE and communicate with CRA for other items
Qualifications
Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with familiarity using Quick books Online accounting software
Strong understanding of accounting principles including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to perform bank reconciliation and account analysis accurately
Knowledge of budgeting processes is a plus
Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team environment
Prior experience with account analysis and financial reporting is preferred
