What Makes You a Great Fit:
Velocity Global is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer (InfraEng) with a background in cloud engineering to help us push the boundaries of performance, scalability, privacy, and security. You'll help our teams safely use the cloud, with a heavy emphasis on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
This role is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
How You'll Make an Impact:

• Demonstrate the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, coordinate, and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
• Own our Infrastructure as Code Orchestration that allows application teams to consume AWS cloud services through automation and self-serve capabilities.
• Collaborate with DevX and Engineering teams to implement infrastructure architecture that meets our performance and security goals.
• Implement our next-generation cloud infrastructure based on Kubernetes/EKS, Serverless, and other AWS services.
• Contribute through auto-remediation and system engineering efforts to continue our efforts in reducing human intervention in automation of processes and operational tasks.
• Champion an environment focused on collaboration and uplifting others.
• Respond to major incidents, correcting and improving systems to prevent incidents and grow at scale.
• Participate in a weekly on-call rotation.

Let's Connect If You:

• Have knowledge of Terraform in large-scale production environments.
• A proven experience building and delivering Terraform modules as a service for internal consumers.
• Experience with integrating Terraform into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with high availability design patterns in the cloud.
• Hands-on experience managing Atlantis in production environments at scale.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Strong ability to debug and solve complex issues involving cloud infrastructure and distributed applications.
• Experience with Observability technologies and best practices using Datadog or Prometheus.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience in software development with Golang or Python.
• Experience operating highly scalable cloud architectures (AWS or GCP) with IaC.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The base pay depends upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
