Job Description

(Internal Title: Construction Management III) + Responsible for inspecting the work materials and methods to ensure that the requirements of the contract documents are fulfilled in a safe manner with requisite quality; prepares daily progress and inspection reports for active construction contracts and issues contract deficiency reports including the follow-up on required corrective actions including inspection of same
+ Observing, acting and reporting on any contractual and non-contractual infractions of safety, security, operational interference or customer inconvenience
+ Provides special inspection expertise in structural, civil, architectural, roofing, mechanical or electrical disciplines, as required for the type of construction work
+ Liaises between the contractor, staff, utility companies, local municipalities and other external agencies
+ Monitor all construction work for compliance with the contract requirements
+ Review any non-conformance issues with the contract requirements and construction documents and help draft associated documentation
+ Conduct daily site inspections to take photos and record construction activities
+ Prepare and submit daily reports to leadership
+ Develop complete records and logs of materials, equipment, deliveries, construction progress, and labor used, especially with claims or disputes (potential or actual)
+ Notify the Health and Safety Manager of any noted unsafe practices
+ Develop weekly and monthly KPI reports
+ Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to support project construction activities
+ Administer construction documents and correspondence
+ Develop project documents through various phases in support of the manager and team
+ Create constructability reviews and reports
+ Complete any tasks assigned
Working Conditions + Office-based and on-site




Experience: + Minimum of 8 years of experience in Construction Management in the area of specialty
Education: + Bachelor's degree or diploma in an Engineering or Construction Management field
Licenses OR Certifications: + Holding a recognized certification in area of specialty
Skills and Competencies: + In-depth understanding of prevailing Construction means and methods in area of specialty
+ Proven capability to effectively lead a small team in Construction Management
+ Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment by ensuring effective teamwork, promotion of innovation, and overall excellence
+ Demonstrated functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices
+ Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
+ Expert in other Construction-related software applicable to the area of specialty
+ Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines with minimum input from leadership
+ Keen eye for detail and adept problem-solving abilities
+ Must have demonstrated experience effectively relaying and receiving critical and technical information (written and verbal) to varied audiences
+ Expert ability to work collaboratively in a structured, disciplined, technology-driven environment
