The IT Manager will be responsible for:
  • Leading and developing a high-performance team of IT professionals (IT Support, Applications, and Network /Database Administrators).
  • Managing, evaluating, planning, and implementing IT and Security best practices, systems and methodology that will enable W\xc3\xbcrth Canada to grow and scale while maintaining compliance, integrity and availability to the organization and our customers.
  • Overseeing all IT infrastructure across Canada for 500+ employees in addition to software, applications, and development activities.
  • Ensuring strong Security practices and education are in place for the organization.
  • Working with internal managers to understand their needs, the tools they are using today, while driving efficiencies and scalability as well as anticipating needs for the future (while ensuring alignment with the W\xc3\xbcrth Group\'s global policies).
  • A strong entrepreneurial mindset: a passion that is led by customer centricity, continuous learning, and willingness to drive crucial conversations across all levels in the organization.
  • Resilient by nature; strong communication, listening and change management skills.
  • Strategic planning regarding the future development of the IT department spearheading major parts of the change management process to continue W\xc3\xbcrth Canada\'s growth into a multichannel company.
The ideal candidate should have:
  • A bachelor\'s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; coupled with a strong business acumen. An advanced degree in the above disciplines is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in IT operations, growing, or setting up IT functions, and supporting large information technology projects.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing/supervising a team
  • A proven track record with initiating process efficiencies and developing information technology processes and procedures from the ground up.
  • A track record in leading IT capability changes and development from vision to implementation in support of organizational growth and supporting ambitious business goals. IT vision and IT strategy development and implementation capability.
  • Strong talent assessment, development, coaching and engagement skills coupled with the ability to inspire others to embrace change in a way that fosters a collaborative, engaging and empowering team environment.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
  • Keen self-awareness and alignment with a workplace culture that is built on humanistic values and continuous improvement.
  • Adept and interested in understanding business needs and working to achieve the company\'s vision and goals.
  • Experience with effectively managing a department budget.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to balance project work with urgent day-to-day tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A drive to seek out continuous professional development and growth to ensure you are staying on top of industry trends.
  • Fully bilingual (French/English) is greatly preferred - verbal and written.
  • Experience with an ERP migration is an asset.
