Summary:



The Information Systems Manager position will work with executive management to assist in the definition of the strategic direction for the Company's Information Technology and Information Systems requirements.

The position is accountable to both executive and operation management for the data and information integrity of the Company, the effectiveness of the Company's information technology infrastructure and compliance by the Informational Technology (IT) and Information Systems (IS) stakeholders.

The candidate will work directly with Operations Management and external consultants in managing the design, integration, implementation and maintenance of core systems, including ERP, Operations Management Systems, CRM and AI technologies.

What the role will be doing:



This position will be accountable for the following responsibilities:

Providing overall leadership in the operations of the Information Technology and Information Systems functions Assists the executive team in identifying IT and IS projects and process improvements, including developing and monitoring IS policies, processes and procedures. Oversee the design, integration and implementation of front-end and back-end systems, including ERP, CRM, Operations Management Systems and AI technology. Supervise the Information Systems project management function, and ensure it is robust and in accordance with Company's software development initiatives. Collaborate with external consultants and developers in order to define and maintain the integration strategy and architecture of the company's systems. Monitoring systems validation ensuring systems are compliant with regulatory requirements and oversees creation of technical and end-user documentation and training initiatives. Lead and provide guidance for change management initiatives with changes to systems, supporting training for new technologies and ensuring user adoption. Working with IT Service Providers, to ensure that the integrity of network and computer systems is maintained and that operational policies and procedures are maintained, documented and revised as required. Implement and manage network security to protect data and ensure the company adheres to all relevant laws and regulations. Ensure that the business has proper security oversight, incident response planning and employee security awareness programs. Manage and ensure that internal service level commitments and agreements are maintained. Consistently ensuring areas of operational efficiency with respect to the delivery or provision of IT systems and infrastructure are proactively identified and discussed with operation's management for investment consideration. Ensuring that the corporate computer and telecommunication systems are compliant, secure, reliable, and recoverable. Support and provide guidance for the implementation of AI and emerging technologies Prepares the fiscal budgets for IT and IS for approval by the Executive Team. Strategize and support the execution of short-term and long-term business strategies for the departments that are aligned to corporate objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:



The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

B.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 5 years management experience Minimum of 5 years of application development experience as a development project manager, senior programmer and/or systems analyst in a medium to large multi-system environment. Experience in delivering systems in a regulated environment and knowledge of validation and testing procedures. Implementation management experience of large-scale applications such as ERP, MRP, CRM. Experience in requirements gathering, in designing, developing and testing multi-tiered business applications. Outstanding interpersonal and organization skills. Effective communications skills, written and verbal. Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills. Proven ability to devise and execute plans and objectives.
