We\'re looking for an Information Services Security Analyst and an Information Services Security Specialist to support our Information Services team! We are looking for more than a Security background-Someone who has technical skills and experience in other areas of IT - Enterprise Windows, networking, or development. Most importantly, we\'re looking for someone with the right behavior and attitude - an assertive and motivated person who is always looking to learn more and improve their skills

As an Information Services Security Analyst you will be primarily involved in activities and issues relating to development and sustainability of information security assets, information technology projects, and security event monitoring and response.

In this position you will be required to act with a minimum of supervision while adhering to defined IS policies, procedures, and best practices as well as management\'s direction. At all times the roles provide timely responses to assignments/projects, managing requestor expectations, ensuring customer satisfaction and aligning with corporate directions as defined by management.

The Information Services Security Analyst provides a role for problem resolution, fosters positive growth, has high standards and values, is a source of guidance, has strong work ethics, and mentor employees in various teams. This role IS Security Analyst is a resource capable of solving the most critical issues and is considered an expert in information security technologies.

More specifically, the scope of your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Provide subject matter expertise in the use of security services including identity and access management, cryptography, communication protocols, and security event prevention and detection.
• Review and report on security events and recommend corrective actions when confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Servus IS environment is threatened or breached.
• Collaborate with other IS staff in the development, implementation, and sustainment of security controls for the Servus IS environment using existing and new tools.
• Review and assess vulnerabilities in systems and provide pragmatic solutions.
• Develop and maintain security processes and procedures.
• Maintain current awareness and understanding of the information security environment in terms of compliance requirements and emerging threats
• \xc2\xb7Knowledge and ability to ensure there are adequate technical and organizational safeguards to protect the continuity of information services by implementing security principles, methods, practices, policies and tools.
• Knowledge and ability to improve information security of systems across multiple platforms.
• Ability and the will to question conventional approaches, explore alternatives and respond to challenges with creative solutions or services using intuition and experimentation, with a focus on perspective, technical savvy and innovation.
• Understand and use relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and/or standards in performing\'s one\'s work.

Requirements:

To qualify, you\'ll need at least the following:

• 5+ years of experience in information technology, with 1+ year experience within a large environment. Information Security experience is highly preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills to interface with multiple levels of management, staff, and vendors.
• Strong analytical/problem solving, organizational, and project control skills to support excellence in delivery and customer service.
• Strong Technical and/or security administrative experience with Microsoft based environments
• Experience using risk assessment methodologies/concepts.
• Ability to prioritize work in a multi-project environment, and to take ownership on issues and follow through to resolution.

Education and Training

• University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or a related IT discipline is strongly preferred.
• Relevant industry certifications and experience will also be considered

Licenses/Certificates

One or more of the following certifications or equivalents is highly preferred:

• SANS GFACT, GISF, GSEC, GCFW, GCIA, GCIH
• ISC2 CISSP (Associate of ISC2)

Relevant Microsoft enterprise certification or Networking certification will also be considered.
