We are seeking a highly skilled IT Security Specialist to join our dynamic cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safeguarding our organization's information systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001 and ISO 27002, and implementing robust security measures across cloud and on-premises environments.

The IT Security Specialist will play a critical role in maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data and systems through proactive security analysis, incident response, and system security management.
Duties
Develop, implement, and monitor security protocols aligned with industry standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 27002, COBIT, and SDLC best practices.
Conduct vulnerability research and perform regular security assessments utilizing SIEM tools like Splunk and Fiddler to identify potential threats.
Manage network security infrastructure including firewalls (Cisco ASA), VPNs, IDS/IPS systems, Cisco ISE, Juniper devices, and Cisco routers to ensure secure network architecture.
Oversee identity & access management processes using LDAP, Active Directory, PKI, and IAM solutions to control user access across systems.
Administer cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and PaaS/IaaS environments; implement cloud architecture best practices including load balancing and disaster recovery strategies.
Configure and maintain network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF), routing protocols (EIGRP), DHCP, DNS, IPsec VPNs, QoS policies, and high availability configurations for optimal network performance.
Perform incident response activities including system forensics and cybersecurity investigations to mitigate threats swiftly.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Terraform and Ansible for automation.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident reports; ensure compliance with PCI standards where applicable.
Provide ongoing training on cybersecurity best practices to staff; stay current with emerging threats in IoT security, encryption technologies, and network support.
Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced certifications preferred (CISSP, CISA, CEH).
Proven experience in information security roles with a focus on network security architecture and system administration.
Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN design, Ethernet standards, TCP/IP stack, routing protocols (BGP/EIGRP/OSPF), VLANs, VPNs (SSL/IPsec), NAT/PAT.
Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or SolarWinds; familiarity with vulnerability research tools like Fiddler or Nessus.
Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell for automation tasks.
Experience managing cloud environments (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud) with knowledge of cloud security best practices.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware; understanding of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
Knowledge of compliance frameworks including ISO 27001/27002 standards; experience conducting risk assessments is advantageous.
Strong analytical skills in security analysis and computer forensics; ability to respond effectively during cybersecurity incidents.
