DESCRIPTION

Le Centre de sante offre des services de sante primaire dans les deux langues officielles aux personnes d'expression francaise de Winnipeg et a la population de Saint-Boniface.





En collaboration avec le Centre provincial de communication en matiere de sante, le Centre de sante Saint-Boniface offre les services francophones/bilingues du programme Health Links-Info Sante. Ce programme offre a des infirmieres et infirmiers qualifies l'occasion d'etre membre d'une equipe progressive de sante primaire.

RESPONSABILITES

Sous la supervision generale du chef d'equipe, la personne choisie offrira aux appelants :


une evaluation professionnelle des besoins; une aide a naviguer le systeme de sante; des informations de sante, des recommandations, des references et des suivis.

EXIGENCES

Certificat de qualification decerne par l'Ordre des infirmieres et infirmiers du Manitoba. Baccalaureat en sciences infirmieres serait un atout. Trois (3) a cinq (5) annees d'experience clinique recente en soins d'urgence, en sante communautaire ou une combinaison de domaines, tels medical/chirurgical, geriatrie, sante mentale et sante maternelle/enfant, sont preferees. Experience en triage telephonique, autre systeme telephonique ou intervention de crise serait un atout. Competence de base en informatique. Facilite de communication verbale et ecrite en francais et en anglais. Une combinaison adequate d'education et d'experience sera consideree.

In collaboration with the Provincial Health Contact Centre, Centre de sante provides the francophone/bilingual services of the Health Links Info Sante program. This program offers qualified nurses the opportunity to be part of a progressive primary care team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the general supervision of the team leader, the successful candidate will:


provide professional assessment of callers' needs; help callers navigate the healthcare system; provide health-related information, recommendations, referrals and follow-ups to callers.

REQUIREMENTS

Current R.N. registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM). Bachelor of Nursing degree (asset). Three (3) to five (5) years of recent clinical experience in an emergency department, in community health or in a combination of areas, such as medical/surgical, geriatrics, mental health, and maternal/child health, are preferred. Experience in telephone triage, other telephone system or crisis intervention is an asset. Demonstrated basic computer knowledge. Ability to communicate effectively in French and English, both verbally and in writing. Appropriate combination of education and experience will be examined.
