Il dessert sept communaut\xc3\xa9s Inuites avec autant de CLSC, un centre pour personnes \xc3\xa2g\xc3\xa9es et un centre hospitalier \xc3\xa0 Kuujjuaq. Il emploie environ 1,000 employ\xc3\xa9s : administrateurs, professionnels, m\xc3\xa9decins, dentistes, psychologues, infirmiers, travailleurs sociaux, personnel de soutien, employ\xc3\xa9s occasionnels, etc.Les communaut\xc3\xa9s du Nunavik sont situ\xc3\xa9es au nord du 55e parall\xc3\xa8le o\xc3\xb9 pr\xc3\xa9vaut un climat subarctique. La personne pourrait \xc3\xaatre appel\xc3\xa9e, \xc3\xa0 l\xe2\x80\x99occasion et selon le besoin, \xc3\xa0 travailler dans l\xe2\x80\x99une des 7 communaut\xc3\xa9s de la Baie d\xe2\x80\x99Ungava. Elle peut aussi \xc3\xaatre appel\xc3\xa9e \xc3\xa0 travailler dans plus d\xe2\x80\x99un centre d\xe2\x80\x99activit\xc3\xa9s. Serving seven Inuit communities with an equal number of CLSC, a center for the elderly and the hospital in Kuujjuaq, it employs approximately 1,000 employees: administrators, professionals, doctors, dentists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, support staff, etc.Nunavik communities are located north of the 55th parallel where a subarctic climate prevails. It implies the existence of permafrost allowing no agriculture. Nunavik is the largest region covering about a third of the total area of Quebec. No road link exists between the communities of Nunavik and southern Quebec, and between Nunavik communities themselves. We have access to the region and its communities by air travel and by boat.STATUS: Permanent full time position (37.50 h. / week)IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Headnurse of medecine departement and nursing of KuujjuaqSTARTING DATE: As soon as possibleFUNCTIONS:Responsible to identify needs in health services, contribute to diagnosis methods, provide and control nursing care which are called for by health promotion, prevention treatment and rehabilitation. Must also provide nursing care according to a medical prescription. The person may be called upon, on occasion and as needed, to work in one of the 7 Ungava Bay communities. This person may also be called upon to work in more than one activity center. The person will also be required to perform emergency on-call duties on a rotating basis.
