ROHL Global Networks is a long-standing telecommunications and utility construction company dedicated to connecting Canadians in rural, urban, and remote communities. We are currently looking for a dynamic In-Field Project Manager who is organized, has an eye for details and has led and managed projects on time and on budget from start to finish. This position will be accountable for the implementation aspects of budget, schedule and quality of ROHL projects. You will provide mentorship and advice to the Project team and build on a solid reputation of professional relationships, project delivery, professional and continuous improvement of PMO practices, standards and deliverables. This is an in-field position from May to November, where the successful candidate must be able to be on-site. At minimum, 60-80% of the time will be spent in-field. Remaining 20-40% of time will be based in our Acheson, Alberta office. Key Responsibilities
  • Must be able to work on-site for extended periods of time \xe2\x80\x93 60-80% in field. In this case, specific to our project in the Yukon.
  • Proficiently manage the project lifecycle in line with key project timings, internal processes and stakeholder standards, such as: scope, risks, changes, issues, scheduling, cost, quality and communication
  • Collaborate with senior executives and stakeholders in the business to prioritize projects based on company objectives
  • Oversee all aspects of project delivery and adapt as necessary
  • Accountable for meeting project milestones
  • Prioritize and manage project backlogs to maintain project objectives, create project plans and optimize the utilization of team members
  • Reports on project progress, offering viable solutions and opportunities as they arise
  • Assist and mentor project management team, as needed, to successfully and professionally deliver assigned projects
  • Provide direction and assist in obtaining all necessary permitting approvals required within the project area
  • Manage supplier relationships, ensuring that the standard of delivery and production provided to clients continually meets and exceeds expectations
  • Customer satisfaction \xe2\x80\x93 constantly managing customer expectations in line with their budget and timeframe. Ensure that the standard of service provided to clients continually meets and exceeds client expectations
Ideal Qualifications
  • Degree or Diploma in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or Business or combination of relevant education and experience
  • 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Project Management with a demonstrated ability to lead highly effective teams
  • Experience managing 10M+ annual budget projects and experience working with telecom fiber optics projects
  • Complex conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build, support and maintain effective partnerships and relationships with First Nations
  • Ability to deal effectively with all levels of government
  • Analytical and strong communication skills with excellent oral and written abilities
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and teamwork ability
  • Motivated self-starter who is results driven, with exceptional multitasking skills
