Your Opportunity:
This position provides both virtual and on-site support to Drumheller, Three Hils and Hanna. Therefore, travel to site is a requirement of the position. There may be opportunity to work from a location near this area, with program approval. New employees to the IPC program will be required to work all work days at their assigned location on-site, for the first 6-12 months. Duration is determined by management. Description:
As an Infection Prevention and Control Professional (ICP), you will be a patient safety expert who leads the planning, development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of system wide improvements in infection prevention and serves as a role model to promote the goals of the IPC program within the larger context of the vision and mission of AHS. You will facilitate change through interpretation and application of standards, and provide best practice recommendations across the spectrum of the organization with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes and preventing health-care associated infections (HAI).
