Industry Segment Specialist - Life Science
Province of Quebec

Reports to: Industry Segment Manager - Life Science

Summary: The Industry Segment Specialist- Life Science will support Sales and Business Development in Quebec, with a specific focus on the Montreal and Quebec City regions. The ideal incumbent will drive business for Festo via a consultative, technical sales approach.

Location: Montreal office, QC

Travel: Up to 50%

Duties of this job include:

• Manage and maintain existing accounts, while driving business through direct and indirect channels.
• Manage strategic accounts and achieve agreed sales targets.
• Develop a regional sales strategy for the Industry Segment/Industry Cluster.
• Manage the price policy and customer conditions while aligning with company policies and coordinating with the Industry Segment Manager.
• Coach and engage the supporting team (e.g., Sales Engineers, Application Engineers, National Key Account Manager, and Industry Segment Team Leader) in Life Science related knowledge.
• Contribute to the preparation and implementation of marketing strategies for the Life Science Business Segment.
• Promote continuous learning for Management by providing market feedback and competitive landscape information.
• Develop the Life Science product roadmap by collecting product requirements of the Industry Segment.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (College/University program) in a related Life Science Field, or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree with Life Science Sales experience.
• Proven experience in the sale of liquid valves, gas handling solutions and mechatronic systems in the Life Science OEM Market.
• Expertise in Life Science applications, specifically in micro-fluidics, liquid dispensing, gas handling and sample handling.
• Technical competence in fluid power, controls, and process automation required.
• Field sales experience, key account management and project management would be an asset.
• Superior oral and written communication skills.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Solid working knowledge of MS Office suite.
