Currently we are recruiting for full time Steamfitters/Tubers in North Eastern BC.

Candidates must possess

CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, Fall Protection, H2S Alive, First Aid

, and be able to pass a

Drug and Alcohol test

Position Summary



Industrial Tubers - Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and or repair tubing systems which carry glycol, steam or oil to piping systems.

Job Duties & Responsibilities



Interprets mechanical drawings, blueprints, specificationsand addendums related to an industrial system to determine the type of pipe and tools to use and lay out the sequence of tasks May be required to make detailed sketches for pipe and equipment fabrication and installation as required Understands, identifies and describes the components and materials used in an Industrial system Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install metal, plastic and fiberglass pipes, valves and fittings Joins pipe sections, related equipment and secure in position Identifies, defines and applies information found on ISO and P&ID drawings for the application of materials without supervision Determines quantities by executing a full project takeoff of required documents, interpret specifications and addendums and calculate the total amount of materials needed for project Safety is everyone's responsibility and you are responsible to look out for yourself and those around you

Education & Experience



Post-secondary or technical training is an asset Static equipment experience (such as vessels, heat exchange, etc.) Previous experience tubing Safety tickets including:

CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015,Fall Protection, H2S Alive, First Aid

Problem solving on a daily basis Interpersonal skills with clients and co-workers Organization and time management skills Communication both verbally and written Prioritizing multiple demands on a project or work site

Working Conditions



Lifting, bending, climbing Ability to be exposed to various types of work environments Use of various shop equipment and trade-related hand tools Use of ladders or scaffolding Working in confined spaces Working with WHMIS products and materials Use of specialized PPE such as respirators, coveralls and safety glasses
