Summary

We are looking for a full-time Project Manager / Estimator to handle end-to-end the estimating / tendering and project management processes

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare price estimates and budgets, identifying inherent risk and opportunities. Accurately and independently interpreting tender and construction documentation (drawings, tender documents, specifications, etc.), producing take offs and distribute the relevant information to vendors and trades for pricing. Develop preliminary project construction schedules and plans as a basis for pricing with input from subcontractors and RKM staff. Attending site visits, initial and ongoing site meetings throughout the course of managed projects with clients as well as site supervision / subcontractors. Solicit, analyze and compile pricing from subcontractors. Respond to post tender clarifications and participate in negotiations between submission and contract award. Transfer knowledge acquired during the tender process to the project team during project kick-off meeting. Issuing POs and orders to trades/vendors; Maintaining project schedules and budgets throughout the project, issuing change orders for the price or schedule as required on a timely and ongoing basis; Reviewing and approving shop drawings and submissions; Cost tracking, schedule management and change order generation as required; Provide project control during the construction phase; ensuring on-site supervision, Safety, QA/QC record keeping, tracking, and other deliverables are in compliance with legislations and stakeholders' requirements Reviewing and approving vendor invoicing on the project for accuracy; Manage project closing, invoicing, and project financials. Preparing and distributing site meeting minutes.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Engineering background or relevant technical education (EIT, P.Eng or CET) or equivalent field experience At least five years of experience in mechanical estimating and/or project management Exemplary estimating skills, and experience applying estimating techniques throughout the pursuit process to define costs and determine competitive pricing Ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans and specifications with meticulous attention to detail Ability to interpret and analyze contract documents to make recommendations for best approach to forming a mutually agreeable contract with a diverse set of clients. Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel & Project) Proficient in AutoCAD . Prior experience in the Industrial construction industry would be an asset. Fluent in

spoken and written English.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
