We are seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Programmer / Controls Technician to join our team. This position involves programming, troubleshooting, and supporting control systems across industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical background with practical experience in PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and system integration, with a preference for Allen Bradley systems.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Programmer / Controls Technician to join our team. This position involves programming, troubleshooting, and supporting control systems across industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical background with practical experience in PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and system integration, with a preference for Allen Bradley systems.


KEY RESPONSABILITIES:




Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, manuals, and technical documentation. Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and communication protocols. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and install control solutions including control panels, sensors, VFDs, motors, and other automation equipment. Design and engineer electrical control systems for process lines. Commission and program VFDs, servo motors, and drives for speed and position control. Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, and Operations teams to develop effective and reliable solutions. Design and document control panels and electrical systems using AutoCAD. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, system modifications, and as-built electrical drawings. Provide ongoing electrical and programming support for machines and systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:




Red Seal Electrician or valid TQ (Trade Qualification) certification. 2 or 3-year diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field. PLC, HMI, VFD programming courses (asset). Minimum 3 years of hands-on industrial control experience. At least 3 years' experience in PLC programming using ladder logic. Minimum 2 years' experience in industrial electrical work. 2+ years' experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs preferred (others considered).

Rate of Pay

: $50.12 per hour
