Job Summary


We are seeking a highly motivated Controls Technician - Junior PLC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. This role involves supporting the installation, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance of control systems within a dynamic industrial environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems, with experience in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, and industrial automation. Duties



Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for industrial automation applications using Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and other major platforms Design and implement control logic and HMI interfaces Read and interpret electrical schematics, and functional specifications to develop control systems Commission and debug automated systems at client facilities, including startup support and system optimization Perform software updates, backups, and version control for PLC and HMI programs Integrate PLCs with industrial networks including Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, Profinet, Modbus, and DeviceNet Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) Document programming changes, create operation manuals, and maintain as-built documentation Provide technical support and training to clients and end user Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns promptly during field service visits.

Requirements



College diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field experience Some experience programming PLCs in an industrial automation environment Knowledge of automation and controls systems Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
