Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced
Industrial Painter - Powder Coating
to join our production team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining powder coating equipment to ensure high-quality finishes on metal parts and assemblies. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years' experience in powder coat painting, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate powder coating equipment and paint booth
Read and interpret paint specifications from routers and drawings
Load and unload metal components on the powder coat line
Perform detailed visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
Assemble and package products as per work instructions
Support engineering and management on special coating projects
Coordinate with team members to ensure production flow
Follow all health and safety protocols and workplace procedures
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager
Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with JGW's Code of Business Conduct and Confidentiality Policy
Skill Factors:
Minimum 5 years' experience in powder coat painting
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work routers
Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
Comfortable working independently or within a team environment
Good manual dexterity and efficiency in assembly tasks
Effort Factors:
Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds
Required to stand for extended periods
Ability to perform physical activities including bending, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
Occasional exposure to warm conditions during summer months
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in powder coat painting
Knowledge of coating equipment and safety protocols required
Familiarity with manufacturing environments is an asset
Shift Details:
This is a
full-time day shift
position. Hours and schedule will be discussed during the interview.
Location:
This position is located in Princeton, Ontario, just 25 minutes from Kitchener/Cambridge and 10 minutes from Brantford.
