Position Overview

Eastern Welding is currently seeking a skilled and motivated

Industrial Millwright

to join our team. This full-time position is based out of our Summerstown, Ontario fabrication shop, with work also performed at customer sites across Eastern Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of millwrighting, pipefitting, and steel fabrication activities in both shop and field environments.

Key Responsibilities

Perform industrial millwrighting duties, including pipefitting, miscellaneous metal work, and structural steel fabrication. Fabricate parts and assemblies based on engineering drawings, blueprints, or customer-provided specifications and verbal instructions. Safely operate tools and equipment such as cutting torches, grinders, hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools. Conduct rigging and hoisting activities in accordance with industry standards and company procedures. Strictly adhere to all company safety rules and safe work procedures, including but not limited to company policies, safe work practices, and applicable health and safety regulations and standards. Work independently or collaboratively as part of a crew in both shop and site-based environments. Lead or assist in supervising a crew on a project

Experience and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have completed a post-secondary education in Millwrighting or a related skilled trade, or is currently completing such a program, combined with relevant equivalent work experience. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in an industrial setting is considered an asset. Demonstrated pipefitting experience in an industrial environment. Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as effectively within a team. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites as required.

Compensation and Benefits

Eastern Welding offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, with wages commensurate with experience and qualifications, including:

Pay:

CA$25.00-CA$38.00 per hour
