What you can expect in a typical day

We have an exciting opportunity for a Industrial Mechanic to join our Irving Blending & Packaging team. The Industrial Mechanic will maintain the systems and equipment by completing preventative maintenance schedules, restoring, repairing, rebuilding and/or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.

Your roles and responsibilities:

• Completes preventative maintenance as well as repairing any mechanical break downs.
• Conducts daily checks and completion of open work orders.
• Assists with capital projects and installation of new equipment.
• Responsible for identifying and planning maintenance requirements and work with the maintenance manager to schedule maintenance.

Travel

• Travel is not a requirement for this position.

Education and experience

• 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in related field
• Red Seal Millwright / Industrial Mechanic
• Experience with pump installations, electric motor replacement, gear boxes and conveyer systems.
• Welding ticket is required
