Permanent position
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30am-4pm (flexible)
Salary: $28-$31/hour

Responsibilities
As an Industrial Mechanic for this great company located in Ottawa, a normal day would include:
  • Perform and complete preventative maintenance tasks, along with daily and weekly inspections
  • Working within the team to maintain and repair industrial machinery
  • Communicate with other teams to ensure that equipment is repaired safely and promptly
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all work completed
  • Process POs and procure items when required
  • Working on various machinery both inside and outside of the facility (front end loaders, shredders, screening line, etc)
Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude (worked on shredders, front end loaders, conveyors is an asset)
  • 2-3 years experience working as a mechanic or maintenance technician in an industrial environment
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, multi-tasking, prioritization and excellent communication skills
  • Willing to learn new skills and take on challenges
  • Previous trades experience such as welding is an asset
  • Positive and team oriented attitude
