About Us

Pinkwood Ltd. is a leading Calgary-based manufacturer specializing in engineered I-joists and structural finger-jointed lumber for Western Canada and the United States. We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our team. This role focuses on supporting production, performing preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, and completing mechanical repairs.

Shift Details

Hours:

Friday - Sunday, 6 am - 6 pm (34.5 work hrs/ week)
Paid hours are topped up to 40 hours per week (

5.5 top-up hours/week

).

Preferred Qualifications

Journeyman Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities

Equipment & Facility Maintenance

Perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment. Ensure equipment and tools are in working order to maintain the plant's mechanical integrity.
Troubleshooting & Repairs

Conduct daily mechanical rounds, inspecting equipment for wear and potential damage. Troubleshoot issues promptly, complete mechanical repairs, and maintain detailed maintenance logs. Collaborate with contractors on major upgrades and monitor external contractor work as required.
Preventive Maintenance

Complete preventive maintenance tasks on belt & chain drive transmissions, conveyors, cutting, forming & pressing equipment, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, and other mechanical production machinery. Use precision measuring and testing instruments to diagnose equipment problems.
Work Order Management

Prioritize and complete assigned work orders efficiently to align with production requirements. Maintain accurate maintenance reports and document preventive maintenance activities as per department processes.

Qualifications & Skills

Technical Expertise

Strong background in industrial mechanical maintenance. Manufacturing experience is considered an asset. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and precision measuring instruments.
