Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) is a full-time position, responsible for installing, inspecting, adjusting, and repairing equipment while following safety rules and regulations. As a member of the maintenance department, you will maintain all equipment to required standards and be responsive to production needs and equipment failures. You work as part of a team but could routinely perform work independently all while maintain an elevated level of accuracy and safety, while performing your duties.

General Responsibilities

Installation and maintenance of machinery and rotating equipment Adjustment and alignment of machinery and rotating equipment Ability to read technical instructions and blueprints Participate in and learn precision maintenance skills Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances, Perform predictive and operational procedures, Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

Red Seal Certification

A wiliness to learn and work hard.

Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills allowing one to work effectively in a diverse working environment

Able to respond effectively to changing work situations and priorities.

Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly rate of $48.66 as per the Howe Sound Labour Agreement

Overtime is compensated per the Howe Sound Labour Agreement

Comprehensive benefits package including extended health/dental coverage and pension.
