Required Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Post secondary education in the related field.
Preferable Certificate of Qualification in Millwright (433A),and Electrician (309A, 442A) would be an asset
Knowledge and experience in PLC Programming (Allen-Bradley and Omron) would be an asset.
Minimum 5 years' experience in automotive stamping, welding and assembly environment.
Specific Skills / Trade or Knowledge:
Good command of English language both verbal and written
Must be able to use various power and hand tools
Mechanical blue print and electrical schematic reading
Welding and fabrication
Applicable knowledge about preventative maintenance methods and procedures
Must have good working knowledge of stamping presses, in range of 80T to 1200T
Knowledge of stamping press transfer system
Knowledge of Microsoft computer applications
Familiar with Quality Management System standards such as IATF 16949
Able to work with minimal supervision
Must have own transportation
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work all shifts (if required)
Knowledge in PLC programming and trouble shooting
Must have experience in motors and drives, both AC and DC
Familiar with Electrical code and its application in an industrial environment
Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems, and programmable logic controls.
Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels. Factory wiring as well as tooling, machines and related equipment wiring
Perform and document preventative and predictive maintenance as scheduled
Repair and maintain mechanical components and material handling systems of production equipment and machines using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring devices
Responsible for troubleshooting any electrical or mechanical system faults in manufacturing in a timely manner
Remove, refurbish or replace worn or defective components, re-aligns and adjusts components, start machine and equipment to test operation following repair
Fabricate guarding, rails and other components for existing machinery as well as new equipment
Perform other duties as required in support of production and continuous improvement.
Must abide by the Occupational Health and Safety Act Regulations
Must abide by all Safety Policies and Procedures
Must abide by the Environmental Policy along with the "3R" (reduce, reuse and recycle) procedures
Must report all unsafe acts at all times
Must participate in plant meetings

Pay: $35.00-$39.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
