About the role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, Industrial Mechanic Apprentices are responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining the processing plant's stationary equipment.

The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C is necessary.

In this role you will:

Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies Maintain and service the processing plant's stationary equipment including, pumps, gearboxes, chain-drive, conveyors, belts, hydraulics, and pneumatics Install, inspect, and repair mechanical and hydraulic components In certain components of this role, it is mandatory to wear a respirator which requires an interference free seal

Requirements:

Registered 3rd or 4th year Industrial Mechanic Apprentice Valid driver's license Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team Previous mining experience is an asset

Base earnings reflected in salary range includes the hourly wage plus applicable shift premiums and will differ depending on location. It is calculated using a reasonably expected number of hours worked per year.
