Position Overview
We're seeking a
skilled and experienced Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
to support our manufacturing operations in
Spruce Grove, Alberta
. The ideal candidate will bring solid hands-on mechanical experience, a strong safety mindset, and the physical capability to handle the demands of a fast-paced production environment.
You'll install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery to ensure our production equipment operates efficiently and safely with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Work with our preventative maintenance software to minimize equipment downtime
Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, and generators.
Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during installation, set-up, and repair.
Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as programmable logic controls.
Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
Operate machine tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machinery.
Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
Construct foundations for machinery or direct other workers to construct foundations.
Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
Qualifications
Significant hands-on experience as a Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Red Seal or Journeyman certification is
not required

but strong practical experience is essential. Proven knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
Skilled in using hand and power tools, lifting equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
Demonstrated commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork.
Physically capable of safely lifting and working with materials and equipment over 20 kg.

Willing and eager to learn--open to hands-on training with equipment (e.g., winding machines) to gain a deeper understanding of our manufacturing process.
Physically capable, with the strength and stamina to safely handle and work with equipment and materials exceeding 20 kg.
Shift Schedule:
Standard schedule: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Flexibility is required -- shift times may vary based on business needs
Overtime may be required, particularly on Fridays, to meet weekly production targets and customer demands
This role may include on-call responsibilities depending on operational requirements
