Position Summary

Prism Industrial Services Inc. is seeking an experienced

Millwright (Industrial Mechanic)

to support industrial installation, maintenance, and fabrication work across a variety of client sites. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work independently in the field, and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, analyze, and troubleshoot mechanical issues in industrial equipment and machinery Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs, including lubrication, cleaning, alignment, and component replacement Install, assemble, and maintain industrial equipment, including conveyors, platforms, and associated systems Fabricate, fit, and weld components as required to support installations and repairs Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals Complete accurate layout and field measurements to support installations and fabrication Install structural components, supports, and platforms in accordance with drawings and site requirements Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification Operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts in a safe and responsible manner Maintain a high standard of workmanship and housekeeping on all job sites Provide professional, solutions-oriented service to internal teams and client representatives

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum

4 years of experience

as a Millwright / Industrial Mechanic in industrial or construction environments Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, including: Industrial machinery and rotating equipment Hydraulics and pneumatics Basic low-voltage electrical systems HVAC or process-related mechanical systems (asset) Proven experience with fabrication and welding (carbon steel and stainless steel preferred) Demonstrated experience installing conveyors, platforms, and industrial equipment Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documentation Forklift experience (certification considered an asset) Layout and field measurement experience Strong communication skills and proficiency in English (written and verbal)

Additional Requirements

Ability to work safely in industrial environments and follow all Prism and site-specific safety policies Physically capable of performing the duties of the role, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces Willingness to travel to client sites and work variable hours as required by project schedules

Job Types: Full-time, Casual

Pay: $40.00-$47.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
