We are currently looking to expand our team by adding additional Licensed Millwrights to our Day and Afternoon Shifts.
  • 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM, Monday to Friday
  • 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday (includes $0.50/hr. shift premium)
Wage:
  • Year 1 - $39.00
  • Year 2 - $41.00
What you'll be working on:
  • Maintain or repair all Production Machinery and equipment, including conveyors, motors, compressors, and pumps
  • Perform repairs to machinery & plant support systems including pneumatic, hydraulic & mechanical repairs.
  • Communicate to relevant Production and Quality Assurance personnel, equipment breakdowns, and estimated time needed to complete repairs
  • Troubleshoot and support root cause investigations to prevent repeat issues and potential future downtime
  • Read and interpret blueprints/drawings, produce rough sketches (abbreviations, symbols for machining/welding/assembly, tolerances);
  • Installation of new machinery & relocation of existing machinery.
  • Assist in performing all scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Lubricates and cleans parts, equipment, and machinery
  • Execute daily assigned work and prepare a detailed shift report with the team
  • Wire Belt Repair
  • Tests and adjusts equipment to meet performance specifications
  • Assists in training and developing of maintenance apprentice and Production personnel
  • Manage through and prioritize emergency breakdowns
  • Work collaboratively with operators and other classifications across the site to reduce downtime, safety and quality risks
  • Effective communication for shift crossovers, work order feedback, production meetings, and activity coordination between other shift members
Who we are looking for:
  • Mandatory: Industrial Millwright Certificate of Qualification (433A)
  • Experience in a Food Manufacturing Environment is an asset
  • Above average troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve issues in a diverse, fast-paced environment
  • Motivation, Positive Attitude, Drive for Improvement
  • Strong Communicator and Team Player
  • Computer Skills Knowledge and experience using maintenance control systems for submitting work requests and logging hours
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Knowledge and Experience of operational process/packaging equipment
  • Welding experience is considered an asset
  • Successful millwright candidates will have the skills & experience required to work safely & independently or as part of a small team.
  • Previous work experience in a unionized environment is an asset
