Job Description

A&R is a Western-Canada Electrical Contractor. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Industrial / Commercial Electrician to join our team at A & R Electric ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial and commercial troubleshooting, familiar with VFD and PLC systems and strong troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities:

Perform industrial and commercial troubleshooting and repair. Installation of Industrial equipment. Connection of motors and machines. Work with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Troubleshoot of lighting systems. Lighting Maintenance. Maintain and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial settings. Light millwright experience preferred. Removal of mechanical equipment. Travel to various job sites within Fraser Valley, primarily in Surrey and Langley.
Ideal candidates would possess the following:

Journeyman Electrician certification. 3 years of experience in industrial/commercial electrical work preferred. Proficiency in industrial troubleshooting. Experience with VFDs and PLCs. Willingness to perform both industrial and commercial troubleshooting.
Project tasks could include but are not limited to working outdoors in all-weather elements, working from heights, physical labor, underground installations (trenching), pulling/strapping cable, cable terminations, Lighting/Fire Alarm installations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour

Additional pay:

Overtime pay.

Schedule:

8-hour shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
Experience:

8 years preferred (Journeyman Electrician: 4 years preferred + 4 years Red seal Electrician ).
License/Certification:

Driver's License (required) Valid Red seal Electrician
Willingness to travel:

100% (preferred)
