JOB SUMMARY

The

Industrial Engineer

will be responsible for assigned projects, including creating, modifying and maintaining standard work procedures. The Industrial Engineer will be reporting directly to the General Manager.

POSITION DETAILS

THIS IS A 6 MONTH CONTRACT POSITION

with a potential to turn into a permanent position.

2 Positions available: Day Shift (8am - 4pm) and Afternoon Shift (12pm - 8pm).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work in a safe and cooperative manner. Develop, modify, and maintain work instructions as needed. Spend a majority of the work day on the production plant foor. Responsible for training new employees using the developed work instructions. Responsible for creating and maintaining updated floor layouts. Develop and maintain production procedures. Ensure all processes meet quality standards. Ensure all safety procedures are followed and all equipment meets safety guidelines. Cross train in other departments to learn their procedures. Provide recommendations, as needed. Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and managers with all departments. Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy. Perform other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

2 years working experience. Ability to interact with others such as supervisors or managers for advice and direction, to discuss work and provide updates. Organizational and analytical skills. Reliably commute to and from work. A University degree in Engineering is required. Previous experience in a Manufacturing environment is required. Proficiency in AutoCAD or other planning software is required. Previous experience creating and working with SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) is required.
