The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for effective troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventative maintenance of facility electrical distribution systems and equipment in an industrial setting. They will ensure safe plant operations and a safe working environment for all employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under minimal supervision, perform electrical work
Assists in the repair and/or installation of various items, systems and/or components.
Performs routine and long-term preventative maintenance on electrical equipment, building systems and machinery to keep them at optimum operating levels.
Supports the maintenance work order control process, maintains records and retrieves data related to work performed by using maintenance software.
Assists with tasks as directed for the purpose of maintaining attractive facilities and minimizing damage.
Maintains tools and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition.
Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items.
Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
Always uses proper PPE.
Other duties as assigned by lead hand or manager.
Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity,
Perform in a team environment with minimal supervision.
Other electrical and/or mechanical repair work as required.

What you will bring:
Certified Journeyman Electrician with 1-2 years' experience. Preference to those with proof of completing the Industrial Apprenticeship Program
Knowledge of conveyors, high speed slicers, pumps / compressor, electrical / electronic controls and high speed packaging equipment
Experienced in the operation of equipment used in skilled trades, power and hand tools, etc.; adhering to safety practices; handling hazardous materials
Ability to read and follow instructions; understand multi-step written and oral instructions
Proven problem solving, communication and planning/scheduling skills are essential
Strong interpersonal skills; display initiative and teamwork mind-set
Capable of working as part of a solid team
Comfortable with computers and computerized machinery
Capable of heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be eligible to work at heights and on platforms or ladders
Flexibility to work over-time on short notice or weekend on an occasional basis
Valid Driver's License
442A or 309A license required
