Department: Product Development/ Customer Success

Role Overview:

As an Industrial Designer specializing in electrical products, your role will involve conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative and functional products that incorporate electrical components. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and manufacturers, to create solutions that seamlessly integrate aesthetics, user experience, and technical functionality. Your designs will contribute to shaping the next generation of electrical devices, ensuring they meet market demands and user needs.

Role Details:

• Participation in product development of multiple product lines in the organization.
• Technical drawing support using SolidWorks/AutoCAD.
• Development and testing of products.
• Design of new products and/or adaptations of existing products.
• Ideation for new products, product line expansion or new product lines.
• Renderings of products in an environment.
• Contributing to the development of product collateral.
• Select appropriate materials, considering factors such as aesthetics, functionality, and manufacturing feasibility.
• Support to the marketing team with copywriting for social media and other digital marketing applications.
• Create detailed design specifications, technical drawings, and documentation for the manufacturing process.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design methodologies related to electrical products.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in industrial design, Product Design, or a related field.
• Proficiency in design software such as CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software, 3D modeling tools, and rendering software.
• Strong understanding of electrical components, circuitry, and basic electronics principles.
• Experience with rapid prototyping techniques and tools.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials, and their impact on design.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey design ideas and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for creating user-centered designs.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.
