Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher to join our team in the food industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of meat processing and fabrication, ensuring high-quality cuts of meat while adhering to food safety standards. This role requires mechanical knowledge and an ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Fabricate and cut various types of meat according to specifications and customer requests. Sanitate work areas, tools, and equipment to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Package meat products for sale, ensuring proper labeling and presentation. Follow food safety protocols to ensure the quality and safety of all products handled. Operate and maintain butcher equipment, demonstrating mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting as needed. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain high standards of quality.
Requirements
Proven experience as a butcher or in a similar role within the food processing industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of meat cutting techniques and food safety regulations. Mechanical knowledge related to the operation of butchering equipment is a plus. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items as required.
