JOB TEXT:
Indigenous Teacher (term) for Northern Light Academy. Duties to commence March 21, 2023- April 31, 2023 or until incumbent returns. DESCRIPTION: Work performed includes providing instructional support to the students in the school. Work may require independent planning, preparation and delivery of a prescribed curriculum. Assist and perform Life Skills instruction to students. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a High School graduate.
- Teaching Certificate and/or active participation in NNTP is an asset.
- Strong verbal and written language skills (English and Inuktitut).
- Applicants must have knowledge of child growth and behavior management; must have knowledge of the positive relations necessary for education/learning to occur.
- Preference will be given to candidates with the most education, cultural knowledge and related experience.
