Location: Churchill Falls

Eric G. Lambert School (EGLS) is a K-12 private school of 149 students and 19 teaching units located in the community of Churchill Falls, NL. It is operated by NL Hydro - Churchill Falls and follows the prescribed curriculum of the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Education. As the Grade 6 Teacher, you will teach Grade 6 core courses (Math, Language and Science), Grade 5 Religion, Grade 7 Math, Grade 9 Science, and possibly other teachables that may be assigned by the Principal.

You will be responsible for personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the Corporation's Safety and Health Program. You will also be responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.

You will have a Bachelor of Education Degree with Primary/Elementary or Junior High or equivalent combination of education and experience, and hold a valid Newfoundland and Labrador Teaching Certificate. A minimum of 2 years successful experience teaching at the Junior High level and experience teaching the Grade 6 curriculum would be considered definite assets. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
