Role Overview
Reporting to the Manager, Indigenous Relations of Teck's North America Business Unit, the Indigenous Relations Intern supports the implementation of Indigenous Relations Strategic Priorities for all mine sites and projects across North America. The Indigenous Relations Intern will support Teck Resources' commitment to Reconciliation, and work with internal and external partners to advance various programs, projects, and initiatives. These include developing Teck's Reconciliation Action Plan, implementing the North America Indigenous employment strategy, supporting the Indigenous Cultural Awareness Training (ICAT) program, and planning and delivering Indigenous Days of Recognition initiatives.
Teck is partnering with the Indigenous Intern Leadership program to deliver this internship. Applicants must self-identify as Indigenous, including First Nations, Metis, or Inuit, to qualify, and must be a resident of B.C. We are striving to build a team that has personal experience with the language, culture, history and customs of Indigenous Peoples.
