What will your typical day look like?

A CoRe Manager resource reporting to the Global Supplier Diversity Leaders will dedicate 100% of their time on procurement support of the Canadian Firm Supplier Diversity Program and goals with a focus on Indigenous-owned suppliers (First Nations, Metis, Inuit).
  • Support Deloitte leaders with Canadian Member Firm Supplier Diversity efforts with a specific focus on Indigenous-owned businesses and supporting Deloitte Canada\'s goals for Indigenous-owned businesses as defined in the Reconciliation Action Plan
  • Support category analysis and identify new/non-obvious opportunities for Indigenous supplier inclusion
  • Manage and grow the Indigenous Supplier Portal by identifying suppliers across the various procurement categories to include in the portal while identifying and implementing improvements as required
  • Facilitate connections between Indigenous-owned businesses and procurement/engagement leaders.
  • Further develop the supplier portal by working with Curasion to implement new features and updates
  • Create and implement strategy to increase stakeholder engagement and utilization of Indigenous-owned suppliers
  • Educate Deloitte practitioners on Indigenous Supplier Portal and Indigenous procurement through curated webinar(s)
  • Develop communication campaign to inform Deloitte leaders about the portal, Indigenous procurement opportunities and ongoing success stories (MyDeloitte, Yammer, etc)
  • Manage relationship with relevant supplier associations (i.e. CCAB)
  • Support supplier development and further engage with communities by hosting supplier learning sessions to educate on procurement processes
  • Develop supplier feedback survey(s) to identify opportunities for enhancing processes
  • Support training of the Global Procurement team to understand and support Deloitte Canada Supplier Diversity objectives
  • Collaborate with CoRe Procurement category leads and Deloitte Indigenous team to identify new areas of opportunity
  • Educate and enhance consulting leadership engagement by presenting on Indigenous procurement opportunities and tools in townhalls, consulting leadership meetings etc.
  • Support development of the Tier-Two Spend program to increase reportable spend and influence Indigenous procurement efforts within the community
  • Support required procurement improvements and reporting from Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) certification feedback to maintain certification
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase Indigenous representation within supply chain to help achieve Gold Level PAR Certification (3-year minimum timeline)
  • Build and maintain an Indigenous procurement page for Deloitte.com to better inform suppliers and clients of Deloitte\'s efforts and opportunities for Indigenous economic empowerment
  • Create business case examples to showcase current impact with select suppliers
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to provide recommendations for new opportunities
  • Provide recommendations to enhance internal procurement strategy to increase Indigenous supplier engagement
  • Support activity reporting to track spend, results, portal usage and other key metrics as required
  • Liaison to Global Supplier Diversity Procurement Lead for supplier diversity priorities and actions
  • Build out process for managing self-certified Indigenous-owned businesses (low-level spend opportunities, retail marketplace etc.)
  • Integrate diverse supplier identification process into procurement processes to target new suppliers
  • Ensure diverse suppliers are included in sourcing event execution (RFX)
  • Develop decision models and spotlights to promote selection of diverse suppliers

You are someone with:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree required
  • 8+ years of experience with 5+ years of previous progressive experience in:
  • Strategic sourcing and leading multi-category supplier diversity strategies.
  • Successfully implementing and delivering equity, diversity and inclusion programming.
  • Community engagement, leadership and development.
  • Developing authentic and meaningful relationships with stakeholders (internally with a senior audience and externally) to become a trusted advisor and partner.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and ambassador of Indigenous-owned businesses
  • French and English (Bilingual)
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
