Superior Propane is seeking two people who are positive, collaborative, strategic minded and ready to work with our regional teams, communities and project owners on energy solutions. These positions will support Superior Propane\xe2\x80\x99s Indigenous Relations Strategy and are fundamental in fostering relations with Indigenous communities and businesses to grow Superior\xe2\x80\x99s business while building employment opportunities and introducing heat & energy solutions that support environmental sustainability.
As an Indigenous & Community Relations Advisor you will:


  • Provide strategic guidance on the development of community partnerships, implementing Indigenous training and employment programs, and business development initiatives.
  • Identify new opportunities for Superior to grow its business via Indigenous partnerships
  • Lead, track and report on community initiatives while representing Superior Propane.
  • Work with staff and clients to implement Indigenous engagement plans and participation in career fairs, cultural events and community-led initiatives.
  • Internal awareness of Indigenous activities and issues resolution.

To be successful in this role, you might have the following qualifications and experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years working with Indigenous communities; developing & executing plans
  • Microsoft Office 365 programs and English speaking (Indigenous & French languages an asset)
  • Self-identification and lived experience as an Indigenous person
  • University degree or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience
  • Understanding of traditional Indigenous knowledge, world views and decision-making processes
  • Have relationships with and ability to connect with Indigenous communities
