We currently have a vacancy for Incoming Goods Inspector. This position requires a self-motivated individual with the ability to be objective, disciplined and responsible. The applicant needs good communication skills, planning abilities and excellent administrative abilities.


Your role

Inspect Electronic Components, PCBAs and Mechanical assemblies. To verify all Kits (Work Packages) to be send to the PCBAs suppliers are meeting prerequisite quality requirements and comply to accurate SOW, AINs, BOM, Packaging, Handling and Transportation requirements. Support Procurement activities when engaging with PCBAs supplier. Evaluating and assisting suppliers with the FAI process. Manage FRACAS (NCRs & MRB Cases). Ensure that the FRACAS process is followed by the suppliers when defects are registered at SGD Responsible for the verification of manufacturing documentation and build history files. Ensure the adherence to ESD, 5S and production processes To ensure effective management of non-conforming items through existing systems and processes. To ensure that the incoming items received comply with the relevant standards and technical specifications following processes as per ERP system or Intranet (BMS). Ability to use the various tools i.e., Height gauge, Vernier, go/no-go gauges, Protractors, Thread gauges, Optical Measuring Machine, CMM etc. Ad hoc goods inspection function assistance and support as and when required, support production with non-conformities during the production process.

Specialist Knowledge Required:

Be able to perform visual inspections of Electronics Components, PBAs and Electro Mechanical assemblies. Sound knowledge of J-STD-001, IPC_600/610/620 & IPC-7711/7721 standards is essential. Be able to perform Documentation and Build History File verification. Be able to read and understand drawings, work instruction and procedures. 5S and ESD compliance is essential Logging of failure reports Knowledge of Configuration Tool and ERP tool is an advantage Excellent knowledge of the MS office environment

Practical Experience Required:

Experience in military Aviation Electronics is an advantage Minimum of 3 years' experience as Quality Control Inspector

Competencies:

Sound knowledge of J-STD-001, IPC_600/610/620 & IPC-7711/7721 standards. Sound Knowledge of FRACAS Process (NCRs & MRB Cases). Good communication and interpersonal skills. Competency in Manual Visual Inspection Techniques. Be able to Operate Automated Optical Inspection and X-Ray machines. Able to read and understand and interpret Gerber| SMT Pick and Place and BOM Files. Pick and Place Process understanding; Solder Paste Inspection, Screen Print Inspection and Oven Profiling etc. Component Identification. Physical Configuration Audit.

Qualification:

N4 Electronics Mechanical National Diploma in Electronics/Mechanical Training will be an advantage Quality Control (QC) Qualification IPC Training ISO 9001 Training will be an advantage
